Definition : Storm

Violent atmospheric disturbance characterized mainly by a strong wind which is often accompanied by torrential rains or strong snowfalls. The damages caused by a storm are covered under a property insurance contract taken out by a syndicate of co-owners in accordance with the third paragraph of article 1073 of the Civil Code of Quebec, unless the insurance policy or a rider sets out, expressly and in clearly legible characters, which of those risks are excluded.
