Definition : Reception of common portions

A step in the building construction process, as a result of the developer's loss of control over the syndicate, by which a building professional conducts an inspection of the common portions. The purpose of this inspection is to detect apparent defects and work to be completed. Once this process has been completed, the promoter, a representative of the syndicate and the professional designated by the latter sign a document to certify the receipt, with or without reservation, of the common portions.
