WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW!  Any syndicate of co-ownership must register with the Registraire des entreprises du Québec (REQ). During this process, it is necessary to provide a copy of a government-issued personnal identification for each member of the board of directors, as well as their date of birth. These copies are kept by the REQ until the registration or information update is completed, after which they are destroyed in accordance with the Act respecting access to documents held by public bodies and the protection of personal information.
