Definition : Public order of protection

Legal principle which gives a mandatory value to a rule of law, which entails the relative nullity of the legal act contravening thereto. Since it is intended primarily for the protection of special interests, it is possible for persons protected by this rule to waive a provision of public order of protection by confirming or ratifying such an act. It is also subject to the rules of the extinctive 3 years prescription.
