Definition : Monitoring of the work

Action to exercise on-track control over the execution of works. The purpose of this monitoring was to ensure that the actual quality of the work would be in line with the objectives of the project and the rules of the trade. Article 2117 of the Civil Code of Quebec also allows a client, at any time during the construction or renovation of an immovable, to examine the progress of the work, the quality of the materials used and of the work performed, and the statement of expenses incurred so far.
