Definition : Mediator

Natural person designated to assist two or several parties in resolving a conflict by helping them to negotiate a mutually satisfactory agreement. Within the framework of a mediation, the mediator must act with impartiality and reserve. He cannot compel the parties to enter into an agreement or issue a legal opinion.
