Definition : Index of immovables

Register accessible to the public and kept in a land registry office containing the registration of all the acts affecting each of the lots of a registration division, in the order of their date of registration. The index of immovables contains one land file for each immatriculated immovable on the cadastral plan for the registration division. It is thus possible to see, in particular:

• The various transfers of ownership made to a building since its creation;
• Declarations of co-ownership;
• Indivision agreements (when published);
• Immovable hypothecs and servitudes that may affect the building.
