Notary appointed to receive a notarial act (either in minute or brevet form) and, in principle, the signature of all parties involved. However, a party's signature on a notarial deed may be given in the presence of another notary (referred to as a delegated notary) instead of the officiating notary. In such a case, after the party's signature is given, the notary who received it must immediately inscribe and sign a certificate confirming the receipt of the signature before them and the date it was received. It is the responsibility of the instrumenting notary to obtain the final signature.
