Richard LeCouffe graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.L.) degree from the University of Montreal in 1974. He was a member of the Quebec Bar from 1976 to 2024, for almost 50 years.
Mr. LeCouffe primarily worked in the fields of employment and labor law, as well as administrative law; he argued before various grievance arbitrators and administrative tribunals in Quebec on matters of labor law, occupational health and safety, and automobile insurance, in addition to acting as the employer's spokesperson for the negotiation of over a hundred collective agreements.
Mr. LeCouffe also wrote numerous articles related to divided co-ownership and has contributed for nearly 20 years to the writing of various works, papers, and conference texts on the subject.
