1st edition of the 2023 OACIQ Public Exchange Forums

The Organisme d'autoréglementation du courtage immobilier du Québec (OACIQ) invites all those interested in real estate, including current or future homeowners, buyers or sellers, to an information and discussion forum.

You will be able to ask representatives of the real estate brokerage regulator all your questions, attend mini-conferences and discover the information and awareness tools made available to consumers by the OACIQ.

It is not necessary to have a current purchase or sale transaction and no solicitation will be made. This is a great opportunity to discuss with the OACIQ, which oversees real estate brokerage licensees and implements public protection measures.

	WHEN? Sunday, March 26, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm — FREE EVENT, no registration needed!
	FOR WHO? The first 2023 Public Exchange Forum is for anyone who is directly or indirectly involved in real estate transactions, especially homeowners and prospective homeowners. Real estate brokerage students or anyone who wants to learn more about this field are welcome. In addition, the OACIQ is hiring!
	WHY? Get answers to your questions, be well informed and discuss real estate, especially since buying or selling a home is an important transaction in a person's life

WHAT IS IT?
Three workshops are available to visitors:

know about a real estate transaction
Answers to your questions on the steps of a real estate transaction, the promise to purchase and the protections that should not be overlooked.

How to find a real estate broker and understand his/her role?
Answers to your questions on the tools used to check a real estate broker's record, to understand his/her obligations toward you and the agency executive officer's role.

How does the Real Estate Brokerage Act protect you?
Answers to your questions about complaints, possible compensation, the disciplinary process and the OACIQ's role in rare cases where issues arise during your transaction.

Mini-conferences of about ten minutes on current issues.

Interactive sessions will also allow you to give your opinion on the tools available to inform you about your transaction and to visit the disciplinary hearing rooms to watch the simulation of a disciplinary case.
