Definition : Cadastre of Quebec

Public Register of the State, under the responsibility of the Department of Natural Ressources [ministère des Ressources naturelles(MRN)], representing on a plan, prepared by a land surveyor, private immovable properties. It thus has for object to establish the partition of the Quebec territory  between each of the properties composing it, by the attribution thereto of a distinct lot number (comprising 7 numbers). Furthermore, the measurements and area of each lot is indicated therein along with their position relative to neibouring properties. This plan is deemed exact and is kept at the Land registry office  for the registration division  in which the immovable concerned by this plan are situated. This register can be consulted online on the government website Info-lot.
