Rappelons à cet égard que les syndicats de copropriétaires sont responsables des renseignements personnels qu’ils traitent dans le cadre de leurs activités et opérations, et ce, même lorsque ces renseignements sont gérés ou conservés par un tiers (par exemple, un gestionnaire de copropriété)....

4 juin 2022 — Le projet de loi 96 (Loi sur la langue officielle et commune du Québec, le français) a été adopté le 24 mai dernier par l’Assemblée nationale du Québec (Vote : Pour 79, Contre 29, Abstention 0) et sanctionné le 1er juin 2022. Ce projet de loi modifie une vingtaine de lois et règlements, dont le Code civil du Québec. Il constitue une modification majeure à la Charte de la langue française (Loi 101) qui avait été adoptée en 1977. Le projet de loi 96 propose ainsi diverses modifications législatives dans plusieurs secteurs d’activités, à savoir celles relatives à l’État québécois et à la société en général. Son objectif vise la protection et la valorisation de la langue française....

March 3, 2023 – On June 8, 2021, the National Assembly of Québec assented the Act mainly to improve the transparency of enterprises (Bill 78). This Bill makes amendments to the Act respecting the legal publicity of enterprises. New responsibilities have been entrusted to the Enterprise registrar. On 31 March 2023, this new legislative framework will enter into force and introduce new obligations relating to the publication of information by registrants, including syndicates of co-owners. The Government of Quebec has thus improved the information available at the Registre des entreprises du Québec (the "REQ"), while improving corporate transparency, strengthening public protection and contributing to efforts to fight tax evasion, money laundering and corruption....

Since June 2023, Bill 31, introduced by the minister responsible for housing, France-Élaine Duranceau, has sparked heated discussions in the housing sector, exacerbated by the current crisis.
